Their inaugural release is distilled in the historic Fort of Dealgan on the Castle Town River. The King’s Gambit boasts a rich and creamy flavor profile, with notes of chocolate, malt, and honey that perfectly balance with subtle hints of sherry and spice. Additional notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted wood are revealed, thus delivering a truly decadent experience. Enjoy this whiskey neat or on the rocks.

APPEARANCE  |  the whiskey has a rich golden hue with hints of another, displaying its maturation in a variety of casks.

PALATE  |  complex, well-balanced and smooth.  The malt whiskey, with its triple distillation and finishing in oloroso sherry casks, adds depth, complexity and roundness.  Rich flavours of raisins, figs, notes of toffee, honey, vanilla and a touch of dark chocolate.  Subtle spices, such a cinnamon and nutmeg.

NOSE  |  a delightful blend of sweet and spicy aromas.  Notes of vanilla and caramel from bourbon casks, complemented by the warmth of oak and a touch of toasted coconut from the virgin oaks casks.  A subtle smoky, tobacco like note and charred character from the re-charred oak casks.  Gentle hints of dried fruits and nuttiness from the oloroso sherry cask influence.

FINISH  |  the finish is medium to long, leaving a lingering sweetness on the palate.  The grain whiskey’s smoothness remains present throughout, with its final notes are pleasantly warm and comforting.
